How do I find my ip address on router

I have looked on the bottom of my router but cannot see the ip address. I go round in circles with the sky help. Is there a simple way to find the ip address?

@Fudgeray  What is it you are trying to do on the router? Depending on the colour of the router this might not be possible, what colour of router do you have black or white?

My router is white. I need the ip address for an O2 boostbox.

@Fudgeray  normally it would be 192.168.0.1, but with the white router most of the settings are found in the Sky app. But if all you needed was the gateway address that is what it is.

  • Thank you. I will try that first. On the sky app, where do I find the broadband details? Thank you in advance.

@Fudgeray  They should be under product settings on the Sky app. When did you connect your max broadband router?

@Fudgeray  It might not work with the max router. Do you have the max broadband subscription with the white router?

No idea. If I had to pay extra, then I wouldn't have it.

Husband says there are some numbers missing from the gateway address.

@Fudgeray  If I remember right with BT there gateway is 192.168.1.1 The only difference with Sky is the 1 is replaced by a 0.

@Kerry12345 not clear what you want.

Sky use over 5 million public IP addresses as every Sky broadband customer either has use of one or share one with 8 other customers and every public facing Sky server etc will each have their own. All Sky hubs default to an internal address of 192.168.0.1  if that is what you mean

The DNS system will automatically resolve a web address into an IP address for your router to use avoiding he need for users to bother about IP addresses.
