My printer wouldn’t connect to my network (WiFi) , and is printing a no filtering (fail) on the fault summary. I have already tried a printer factory reset and hard reboot, which hasn't worked. How do I add the printer's MAC address to my router’s whitelist or router's mac filtering menu? I am running the very latest version of printer SW and there are no patches to install. Thank you

If your printer has a WPS you should try that as an option to join printers can be a pain at the best of times, i had similar issues and eventually, just connected to the USB from printer to desktop and eventually got windows to connect to it over WiFi on the laptop.

Sky Hubs don't do MAC filtering, so whatever the problem is, it's not that.

Thank you and appreciated. I am considering going out and just buying another printer. It is the small things sometimes that cause the greatest frustration. Thank you again

Re: How do I add the printer's mac address to my router's mac filtering?
One possibility, depending on the vintage of the printer, is that it's objecting to seeing the same SSID on both 2.4 and 5Ghz WiFi bands. There is a process for separating and renaming these if you want to try it, but you may then need to manually reconnect other currently working wireless devices.
As posted by @jamesn123
Note that this process does not apply to the new (white) Max Hub
So to split the two channels you need to go to your router config page which can be found by typing 192.168.0.1 into your web browser.
To access the page, you'll need;
username: admin
password: sky OR your WiFi password
- Select wireless from the navigation bar and scroll down a little and untick the 'Synchronise 2.4GHz and 5GHz settings'
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and hit apply.
- Once the page reloads you need to go to the 5GHz wireless settings page on the sub navigation bar below where you click wireless before
- In the 5GHz section you want to go to the box called 'Name (SSID)' and add something like 5g to the end of the current name
- Scroll down and hit apply
- Then on any wireless device you should now see two networks. One network will be the same name as usual and will be 2.4GHz band and the other will be the usual name with 5G on the end (Or whatever you typed). Connect any 5GHz capable device to the 5GHz network and see if it works correctly. The WiFi password should be the same if you havent changed it.

Re: How do I add the printer's mac address to my router's mac filtering?
Thank you for your detailed, reply, which has enabled me to follow your very clear instructions, which was throughly appreciated. However, despite now having separated and re-named the two SSIDs for both 2.4 and 5Ghz WiFi bands, this has not resolved the problem. On reflection, I don't think that I had this problem before installing and connecting my Sky wi-fi extender, if this helps to throw any further light on the problem. With kind regards and thank you again.

Re: How do I add the printer's mac address to my router's mac filtering?
Thank you Jim and really appreciated. I re-positioned my SE210 wireless extender so that there was more space around it to maximise the best possible reception. Persisted with the WPS button until the printer recognised the device and success. The irony is that the printer worked brilliantly before the booster, through connecting to the hub, but now needs to be positioned closer to the booster in order for it to work. You just couldn't make this up could you? Thank you so much for your help, as well as all of the other members who have helped me to make this possible. A sort of eureka moment as I can now print!!😀
