House move - **bleep** service connecting new address

Booked full fibre connection for new place, 3 weeks in advance. Got told with a week to go that that date wasn't happening they'd keep us posted. We've had 'we'll keep you posted' for almost a month now and move in two and a half weeks ago. Decided Sky don't want my £1750 a year for broadband and tv enough, so going to go elsewhere. Any advice on where is best? BT? Zen? Virgin?

Both BT and Zen would be using Openreach fibre, so the delay with Sky would also happen to them.  Realistically, bad weather, short daylight hours and workforce absence means midwinter is a tricky time for FTTP installation.

Virgin has its own private network, and if that's already in reach of the property then provisioning is typically rapid, but they only cover about half of UK properties (and considerably less of its geographic area)

BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
