(Wasn't sure where best to post this so posted in Sky Stream too)
I will be moving to a new build house in a couple of months. I have decided not to erect a dish and instead switch from Sky Q to Sky Stream. Since I will no longer be impacted with Sky Max WiFi incompatibility with Q, I will order the new router too.
I will need to strange a Hone Move nearer the time and am debating whether I should swap from Sky Q to Stream and WiFi Max now in my current house then arrange a home move of my broadband when new build is ready, or do I wait then do everything at once.
I have full gigafast FTTB at both addresses and am out of contract on Sky Q.
What would you do, any pros or cons with either option ?

If you do the swap just now to stream then you will then not have the headache of having to take the Sky Q box with you and then able to take your Sky steam kit with you when you move.

@Highlinder I'd like the WiFi 6 capability of the newer router to pass as much ch of the 1 Gb speed as possible - also new build is bigger than current home and suspect WiFi 6 will help with range

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Kenny+Rankin I have the SR213 which is the Sky Wifi Max hub and while its wifi is marginally faster than the standard SR203 its range is much the same but both easily provided 500Mb/s WiFi in our main living area.
The Sky Stream boxes do have WiFi6 capability but its irrelevant as the absolute maximum bandwidth they can use is well below 50Mb/s. The Wifi Max bundle does come with up to 3 extender pods but those are Wifi5 but the whoke package is tri-band. I concluded it was poor value for money and reverted to my own wifi 5 whole home system which is more stable which is the key thing for successful video streaming.
