Hive hub not connecting to sky max hub

Hi, my hive hub was working fine with old sky router. It will not connect to new sky max hub router,  I have the 1st version of hive. After talking to hive on the phone they recommend I purchased a new hive hub, it still doesn't work, it just flashes green. Sky couldn't help they said its probably because the new security on router and because its an older hive model. I have changed shield and set to wap2 still no luck. I can't time my heating only push a manual 1 hour boost button at home. I don't understand why it won't work being a brand new hive hub, it directly plugs into router using an eithernet cable. Any ideas? Thanks

@Leanne117 Have you tried leaving it plugged in over night. Mine was a bit weird and had to leave it on for some hours then it finally worked.

Its actually been plugged in since may. I didn't realise it wasn't working until I went to turn heating on via app at the weekend. Last connection was with old router. I have disconnected and reset everything . No luck. It's the original 2016 hive 1, however they sent through a new hive hub that still doesn't work. Could the receiver and the control panel not be compatible? These both are working manually still.

Have you got the hive setup via 5g or 2g?

To be honest I can't even get in to set mine up again so I could show you my settings since my internet has been down for a day. Once it's back up and fixed I'll screenshot my settings and you can compare if you haven't found a fix by then.
