With Sky for many years now but facing unprecedented problems with internet speed for over 2 months now. An engineer visited a couple of months back and changed our router but that was a very temporary fix and didn't help much. The engineer said that the incoming speed reaching the hub is fine but the signals to the rooms are poor for some reason. We are struggling with the connection and my son cannot play online games on the Xbox too. We have tried all trouble shooting and getting frustrated with the connectivity now.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@PayalSood Gaming over Wi-Fi is never a good idea. Have you looked into powerline adapters that let you use the wiring around your home as networking wiring to devices like gaming consoles that can then be connected via hardwire.
Moght also look into getting a booster for the property so help with the Wi-Fi signal. If the engineer said the speed coming into the router was good and most if not all your devices are connected via Wi-Fi then that becomes a local issue to your property.
