Help my sky says 26 mbps but it's not enough to work properly on a laptop and is slowing me syncing

I can't work fast enough with a speed of 26 is this the standard as my work think its super slow !

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate what the options are.

26Mbs delivered to a router would now be considerably below the national average broadband speed, but entirely plausible over FTTC at an individual address around 1100 metres from the local fibre cabinet because that's largely based on inherent natural characteristics of high frequency signalling over copper cable.
