Help - do I need to pay for a BT landline

I recently moved into a rented house (new build).  I can see we have a BT open reach box flashing away upstairs - I'm thinking of ordering sky. Broadband and TV package. My question is do I then need to pay for a landline from BT in order to use it? I don't want a home phone as only use my mobile

Sky Talk is bundled together with Sky Broadband. You can't have broadband without Sky Talk as well so if and when you join the Talk tariff will be set to the default Sky Pay As You Talk tariff. That way if you make no calls there are no Sky Talk charges.
