Have to use a VPN to download games and MS store plugins

Hey

A year or so ago I was unable to download games from "EPIC" no issue really, but now I cannot download files and games from Steam, Blizzard, Ubisoft or MS without using a VPN and its annoying.

I am on giga fibre broadband

I`m running win 11 on a brand new rig with fully up to date drivers

I have opened all ports on my router and specific ports for EPIC etc

I have spoken to EPIC helpdesk and they blame my ISP

I have searched all forums i can find and people are saying its the ISP

Please help TIA

@Bored2oo check the settings for Sky Broadband Shield as they can block gaming if set toma low age setting. Assuming you are the account holder go into product settings innthe My Sky app and either turn off the filter entirely or usecthe 18bsetting.

All restrictions were disabled for shield.

@Bored2oo also check any internet security settings you have onntge PC including Windows Defender. Downloads are not restricted by Sky so its likely to be a setting somewhere. Firewall ports should not restrict downloads.

It still blocks me even with all firewalls and security turned off.

im not running any other AV.

I also should have mentioned its blocking other devices and Ive just now spotted its stopping window updates so the issue definatly starts at the router

And like magic without touching a thing on my pc and router it has all started working again.
