@JHT Having a FF install done has nothing to do with increasing wireless wi-fi coverage! What sky Hub do you have, and the make model off your own purchased Boosters!

@JHT As you do not say which netgear booster you have, goto the netgear site and follow the connection setup info, if there is a reset button on the booster do that first, if there is also a wps then start the hub wps button side off the hub, it will flash orange, wps on the booster and let them do there thing to connect, just make sure both are close together when you do them!

@JHTI  would think that there are a number of third party options you could try to boost the WiFi signal e.g. (1) powerline WiFi extenders (2) use a compatible non Sky router (3) mesh system.

I currently have an Asus Mesh system which runs in AP (access point) mode  using wireless backhaul. The result is that I  have a strong WiFi signal on all 3 floors of my house e.g. one of the nodes is in my study on the first floor and a speed test I just ran from my computer connected via ethernet to it,   gave a ping of 8ms and speeds of  845/90 down/up.

You can purchase a 3 node mesh system for as little as £80  or £678+  and everything in between.
