Hi,
Has anyone got BQM (Broadband Quality Monitor) work on Sky Gigafast consistently?
I did have it working till my IP changed this morning atg 1am, now the current IP just says it offline.
I currently have a IPv4 IP address and no IPv6
There also no option in the White Sky Hub to setup No IP Dynamic DNS either, like there use to be in the Black Sky Hub.
Regards,
Garry

Then xxnn:nnnn:nnxn:nnnn::1 is the gateway address usually and one should ensure it replies to ICMP ping on the router interface, and that will be the router. When you go to BQM you will need to enter that address manually as it will default to the IPv6 address of the client device.

Re: Has anyone got BQM working on Gigafast?
I only have FTTC but it appears that the SR213 only responds to pings on IPv6 & not IPv4. I suspect that's by accident rather than design.
So maybe try another reboot to see if IPv6 re-appears.

I didn't have an IPv6 then either, when it went live. It was testing on the IPv4.

Re: Has anyone got BQM working on Gigafast?
Odd, I've never had BQM working on the SR213 with IPv4. Also it seems to take a while after a reboot to respond to IPv6. But as it's all undicumented, I doubt you'll get any official response.
But the lack of IPv6 should be reported to Sky.

Re: Has anyone got BQM working on Gigafast?
It doesn't rely on ICMP on the latest Sky Max white hub because of default MAP-T 8:1 mapping, which occurs when one IPv4 public address is mapped to eight customers with the ports on one IPv4 address.

One can set the BQM to an IPv6 address of the router gateway.

Re: Has anyone got BQM working on Gigafast?
Hi,
That would be under Connection > SKy Network > WAN IP Address (IPv6)?
Problem is I don't have a full IPv6 address and all tests I do to say I don't have one
The WAN IP Address (IPv6) says: nxxnn:nnnn:nnxn:nnnn::1
n where a number is and x where a letter is
Problem is there not a full IPv6 address as for a personal user to use to brower the internet with.
This is an example full IPv6 address: nnnn:nnnn:nxnn:nxxn:nxnn:nxnx:xnnx:xnxn
n where a number is and x where a letter is.

Gaz

Re: Has anyone got BQM working on Gigafast?
You don't use a full IPv6 address in BQM. So using your example, just drop the "1" & enter nxxnn:nnnn:nnxn:nnnn:: including the two colons. That's all I use with Sky & BT before that.
This site seems to be a good test for IPv6 connectivity.

Re: Has anyone got BQM working on Gigafast?
That isn't the case the ::1 form a full IPv6 address and is the gateway address of the router.
