Had it up to here with sky broadband, who should i go to?

Sky broadband is an absolute joke and a complete shambles, time to leave, sick of paying for it and it not working, paying for a mini box each month that's we can't use, absolute waste of time, shocking. Question is who to move to, anyone will be better than sky but who is the best?

You'll need to do your own research depending on your current set up and requirements. Perhaps other ISP's have their own forums. Ask your family, friends, neighbours.

You need to bear in mind that Sky like most ISP provide the service via the national phone network system owned and operated by OpenReach and it's possible your internet issues are a result of that infrastructure and not an issue with whatever ISP you are with.

 

some ISPS provide their fibre packages via other companies, this is because they are now a couple of companies that have laid fibre cable networks under roads to provide this service e.g virgin media and community fibre. These networks aren't quite as wide reaching and are likely to not be able in every area yet and even still may require you to wait for an engineer from the cable network to come and connect you up.

 

you will need to research and if you find an offer you like do some additional checks to make sure which infraythey use and if they are available in your area.

Sky booster and a new router and a new sky q box and it still is **bleep**e as it goes off and on thank god I don't have sky puc or sky glass!

Ive just switched to sky from Virgin and they are even worse, never had any problems with sky in the past so that's why I came back...

@johnboywonder if as seems likely you have a Superfast service delivered over a copper line the speed you get is a function of the length of your line to the cabinet serving your area. It is not something Sky or any other ISP can control as it is down to the laws of physics.. The new full fibre connections thst are being rolled out deliver the speed you buy.
