Generally smart plugs work best on 2.4ghz
Also use 5ghz for smart tv, streaming sticks, pc's/laptops
All other devices should be able to find the strongest signal

Hi
Having similar issues and can't quite see the wood for the trees in the earlier chat.
I am unable to uncheck 'Synchronise 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Settings', each time I try on either the 2.4 or 5Ghz page within router admin screens, I uncheck, hit apply button and get thrown off with Safari cannot open page to address http://192.168.0.1/sky_wireless_settings.cgi
I can go back to http://192.168.0.1/ and be still logged in, but when I look at all the wifi settings no changes have been applied.
I am connected via a cable to the router, using safari on an apple laptop.
It's frustrating as I need to change the 5GHz SSID or disable it to force a 'smart' item at home to connect to the 2.4Ghz
any help appreciated.
