Google Play store and Hive heating no longer working properly

Hi,

For no obvious reason, many, but not all downloads from the Play store, no longer work. They either sit at pending, or stop at a consistent percentage.

All devices are affected. 

Using a VPN solves the problem. 

All advice has been followed. Disable shield etc. I've even factory reset a device. 

Even the Sky diagnostics app will only work via vpn.

Secondly, British gas Hive Heating will no longer connect - I cannot use a vpn for this. This is the worrying problem.

@Alunj1 What Sky router do you have? Also check what your Broadband Shield settings are.

@Alunj1 if you haven't already done so reboot the Sky hub which can clear these odd issues.

I'm many, many reboots I but will try again. 

Powered off as well as rebooting from the router UI.

@Alunj1 With such an old Sky router that you will be getting notified for replacement if not already done so, surprised that you are having issues, with the likes of google play and also your hive controller.

You may wish to get the newer SR203 as a starting point first, free upgrade program is started, so if you have been notified by e-mail / post let us know. Not sure if you can just jump on to do so as it is a controlled phased sky release.
