Hi there.
Apologies for possibly posting a duplicate query but I struggled to find a definitive answer.
I am presently a BT Full Fibre 500 customer using a Google Nest WiFi router connected directly to the ONT.
I am looking to switch to Sky Gigafast (Full Fibre 900) and want to keep using my Google Nest WiFi directly connected to the ONT once the switchover to Sky is complete. I have read some mixed comments that this will and won't work as there is a Sky requirement for DCHP Option 61 which the Google router doesn't support.
Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? Is there someone who is succesfully using a Google Nest WiFi (not the pro) setup connected directly to the ONT.
Thanks for help.

@Gazza14UK not suprised you are confused as this is surprisingly complicated if the Nest supports DHCPv6 PD there is an 80% chance of it connecting to a Sky connection using Openreach and 100% if they use City Fibre. Google do not give much in the way of technical details so frankly i am not sure whether your unit supports that or not. If you are unlucky to be in the 20% of lines that dont you will be stuck as Nest does not support the alternate. DHCPv4 Option61 thstvall Sky lines can use. This cannot be predicted as it depends on who built the exchange gear handling the connection.
You can of course continue to use the Nest gear behind a Sky hub either in a Double NAT configuration which in practice causes far fewer issues than most people think or in Access Point mode if the Nest supports that.

Re: Google Nest WiFi & Sky Gigafast (Full Fibre 900)
Thanks for your reply and explanation of the technicalities and possibilities. I'm confident its an OpenReach connections so it seems my chances are good. It's a shame Google don't give more details on their router, but I suppose they have gone for simplicity.
