Get my ASUS RT AX1100 to use Sky Max hub details for internet access

Hi there Team,

I've just recently made the jump from BT FTTP to Sky FTTP (Sky Max Hub - white model) internet.

Before I used my ASUS RT AX1100 as my router of choice and applied the username and password from BT to get it going. It worked really well.

Now that i have moved to SKY Full fiber FTTP. I was wondering if someone on the forum could help answer the following question.

1) Can i get my Asus setup as my preffered setup. If possible I would like a step by step breakdown of how to get this going. 🤔👍
2) I have 2x Asus RT AX92U as my mesh on that same setup previously. Can I continue this same setup with Sky & if possible - what would i need to do for it to work. 🤔

Very gratefull in advance for any help on this matter

Since your on FTTP you should be able to connect your Asus router directly to the Openreach ONT, via its WAN port, then enable IPv6 Native and it should automatically connect if your in an area with that enabled at exchange level.

If that doesnt work, in the WAN settings of your Asus router, set it to Automatic IP, then in the 'DHCP Option 61' box type abc123@skydsl|abc123 this should connect you up

I take it my 2 satelite RT AX92U units will work as a mesh as per normal once up and running? 🤔

They are linked to your main router so they should stay connected as before no matter what WAN details you put in.
