Genuine or scam if from ...contact.sky?

Received email from (without the spaces): sky @ email . contact .sky 

saying: your contract is soon up for renewal

My contract is not due until June 2025!!!

Does the email address you by your name, if so it should be from Sky. If it doesn't as says something like Deat User and it works you to click a link then the chances are it is a scam email.

It does. But why would they send me a renewal email now when it's not due until June ?

@TS8 you would have to call Sky to find out why and it could simply be a mistake.. However if your area has recently been upgraded so you can now get full fibre Sky are encouraging people to change over. Normally this costs nothing and will give you potentially faster and more reliable connection.
