General question

Just a general question because I have no idea about these things I have sky broadband and TV I have a sky Q box and mini if the sky TV is cancelled and both boxes are returned Will my Wi-Fi speed go down and/or my coverage go down? Just curious because I have seen some posts saying these boxes act like boosters thanks in advance

I have moved your post t the braodband group as I think the regulars here will be better placed to give you the answers.

Yes the SKY Q TV main & mini boxes do help to provide a wifi Mesh so if they are removed then I think coverage may suffer - I am not with SKY so I don't know if you can claim boosters etc to make up for any loss of coverage if you don't get the coverage you need

@K801Your speed will not drop but your coverage might, why not turn off both your Q boxes and see what happens.
You don't say if you have Sky broadband or not but if you don't then the Q boxes only act as "hot spots" if you have turned this on, if Sky is your broadband provider they are on by default.

I don't have Sky broadband and found it dropped the speed and coverage was no better so I turned it off.
