Gaming issues

Hi,

So, my 13 year old son is constantly moaning at me to get rid of Sky Broadband because his games keep "lagging" am I the only one struggling with this issue, we have a booster in  the room where the engineer placed it but still the shouts of "bloody Wi-Fi".

Please help or do I need to switch provider?

Thanks

@MoodyteenagerHave you looked into powerline adapters or do you have any Wi-Fi boosters in the house for better coverage of the Wi-Fi?

@MoodyteenagerThese use the pwerlines in the property. Do not get ones that also have Wi-Fi with them, you are looking for ones that enable you to plug in an ethernet cable only.

@Moodyteenager

A booster can actually make the connection worse because it introduces an extra hop for traffic to take which also means more chance of interference. Ideally you need to use ethernet for a stable gaming experience, WiFi is never recommended.
