Re: Full fibre upgrade worse than before
@Raving51 my own home is not very WiFi friendly but my 3 unitTP-Link Deco system running in access point mode gives excellent speeds.

Re: Full fibre upgrade worse than before
@Raving51 I suggest you don't make the mistakes I did... viz. buy the cheapest Mesh systems only to find that I needed more from my network 😁
I started off with Tenda mesh MW3s which worked fine but was not the fastest and could not split 2.4 & 5 Ghz bands.
Then I got the Tenda MW12 (triband) which was faster than the MW3 but still could not split 2.4 & 5 Ghz signals.
Next up was Asus CT8s which were fine, but was happy to give them to my son for his network so I could upgrade to XT9s, with which I am very happy (for now at least 😉).
If you install your own mesh system go for the best you can afford and that meets current and future needs.
1000/115 FTTP (Aquiss) to Zyxel DX3301
3 x Asus XT9s + 2 x RT-AC58U V3 for WiFi (AP mode)
65" Samsung S92C OLED TV
C430 Samsung soundbar with subwoofer
6 other streaming TVs
43+ network connected devices

Re: Full fibre upgrade worse than before
Openreach come out this morning, the guy said he manually changed the channel and fixed it on that channel as when it hunts for the optimal channel that can cause instability. I'm going to see how it goes, the only nagging thought I have is what happens if my channel now becomes busy but the broadband doesn't look for a better one?
