Full fibre offer from fibrus but not available from sky, poor effort

Hi. A sale rep from fibrus called last week to offer full fibre into property far £35 including land line.thats a good price,a lot of neighbours are getting it and getting 150mbs or there about.I would rather stick with sky but on phoning then there is no option to change from my current one about 65mbpps.sky are loosing a lotvof sales here.why is that.we had fibre to pole connected about a week ago.

Fibrus is one of many altnets laying their own private optical cable, typically in limited geographical areas: in this case Northern Ireland and Cumbria.

Sky, like BT, uses the UK national Openreach network and so only offers FTTP where Openreach has deployed it.

Altnets can almost always offer higher speed at lower cost because they are racing to gain subscriber numbers before running out of startup capital: it's worth noting that the market will almost certainly see some become unviable in the longer term.
