Full fibre gigs fast+ 5Gbps

Hi 

I had full fibre Gigafast 900 installed in the summer and I want to upgrade to a faster full fibre Gigafast+ 5Gbps but I read after going to the final screen before ordering that a engineer would have to come out. 

why would this be if I already have Full fibre installed?

You would potentially need a new Ont to support the higher speeds and I think cityfibre also want to sent and engineer check it is working correctly

The 2.5Gbs and 5Gbs speed bands can only arrive over CityFibre infrastructure, so if your current FTTP is delivered over an Openreach circuit then you'd require a whole new optical cable plumbed into the property.
