Full fibre connection installed by Openreach but not available on SKy?
Openreach installed full fibre to my property about a year ago and say 1800mbps is available
BT are offering gigabit BB.
Sky are only offering 150 Mbps and say they have looked up on their checker and this is the fastest available. They are also charging me the same for 159Mbps and BT for 500Mbps.
It would be easier to stay with Sky but I want the higher speed offer?

Re: Full fibre connection installed by Openreach but not available on SKy?
Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate what's available. It's conceivable that for some reason Sky is only seeing G.fast availability, which is limited to 150Mbs.

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Actually, is it possible you currently have Ultrafast 1 over G.fast from Sky?
If so, they don't have an upgrade path to FTTP, and their checker returns 'unavailable'.

Thanks a lot for your notes
The BT checker says FTTP is available and and an ONT can be ordered.
I do have Sky Ultrafast one so am interested in your comment about the checker showing FTTP as being unavailable?

Where does that leave me with Sky and getting higher speed BB?

Re: Full fibre connection installed by Openreach but not available on SKy?
It appears that for some internal reason, Sky Broadband can't migrate an existing Sky G.fast user to Sky FTTP.
Some posts have suggested a tortuous route involving moving to Sky ADSL first, but frankly I wouldn't trust that to work.

Re: Full fibre connection installed by Openreach but not available on SKy?
I have read some of the other forum posts and realise I am going to have to move from Sky. My BB contract terminated recently anyway.
Are there likely to be any problems with the other Sky TV services if I change to BT BB?
