Full Fibre is unbearable in the evenings

Since recently upgrading to full fibre, the stability of our connection is awful in the evenings. 

We've restarted the router, which is placed exactly where the technician suggested but despite having no problems during the day, the evening is a different story, making it nearly impossible to impossible to use video calling, gaming or streaming. 

This was never an issue when we just had ultra fast broadband. Only since upgrading.

We have exactly the same issue but no one seems to be able to help us

There's a few threads on here with people saying the same thing but a few people are questioning the validity that Sky is throttling the speeds in the evening. 

I struggle to believe that it's a result of lots of people using the internet. In this day and age, surely that's not a thing.
