Full Fibre available at houses to the left but not my house or houses to the right
Hi all,
I have recently checked the Openreach full fibre checker for my house and a few neighbours.
For my address, 2 doors to my left and all the houses to my right it says 'Build planned between now and Dec-2026'.
For the addresses 3 doors down and beyond on my left it says it is 'Available Now'
Is this situation normal, and is it a case of I just need to wait a bit longer - it just seems strange that a neighbour 3 doors down can get it but mine or any houses after mine can't at the same time.
Do I need to contact Openreach regarding this situation?
Here is a broadband check for mine and a neighbours:

Neighbour:
I am contemplating filling out this form: https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-availability---customer-form
But wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this situation first.

It's possible that you are served by a different cabinet. Where I live (overhead cables) the cabinet serving the houses changed halfway up the road and we had FTTP 5 years earlier that the others.

@shxk it is not unusual as running fibre is a big job especially when the cables run underground rather than on poles as the details of your neighbours service indicates. It is very rare that Openreach can use the ducting the existing copperccables run in. My own area has an underground distribution and Openreach took many months to cover just our estate. I could order several months sooner than an address in the next close.
It is pretty obvious when they are working in your road as the pavement outside your home will be dug up and grey plastic piping buried with a small conection point left outside each house - it makes quite a mess while that happens. Even when the ducting is complete you cannot order as the passive distribution points have to be installed the connected and commissioned by specalist fibre engineers each point can only support up to 32 lines.
The exchange I am connected to started to be converted in 2021 but won't be finished until late this year..

Based on the bt broadband wholesale checker it looks like it is being served from the same cabinet. Reading the other reply in here though which sounds like a similar situation to my area, I think the case may be that there is still on going work.

Re: Full Fibre available at houses to the left but not my house or houses to the right
Thanks for this, this actually does sound similar to my area. I do remember over the past two months or so seeing the pavement outside of the neighbours further down the road (where fttp is available now) being dug up and a couple of engineers working.
I did get a call from Openreach this morning responding to my form enquiry. They mentioned that we are still in the build plans but did not have an exact/estimate date when it would be sorted. Said he would contact the local project manager to find out a date if possible and get back to me next week
