Full Fibre - Sky says yes but Open Reach says no ???

So keeping this story brief, over the last 6 months, I have lost my patience with Virgin Media who claim my broadband is working fine despite showing them screen recordings that it is not.  I am now looking at alternatives as I am finally towards the end of my Virgin Media contract.

So on to the main part of this post. On the Sky website it says "Great news, Full Fibre is available at your home:" but for my peace of mind I checked the Open Reach website, it says "We’ll be building in this area in the next year"

So do I go ahead and place the order with Sky or not ?!?!?!? What is going on here?

@SSK1231  So yes you're in luck, the service is available over CityFibre.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@SSK1231  Do you have CityFibre nearby as Sky may well be using their network.  You can check here https://cityfibre.com/

If you could post a screenshot of the speeds Sky are offering we may be able to confirm if it is CityFibre speeds rather than Openreach.

Hi GD1, thanks for the quick reply. I have attached the screenshot of what is available.

And now that you mention, I can see City Fibre it is that is covering my area.

So I guess this means I can get Full Fibre !!!Screenshot 2025-10-16 120438.png
