Free full fibre upgrade cold call

How to identify a genuine sky caller? I was called today about a free upgrade to full fibre broadband. Concerned whether this is genuine. Tried searching for the number but is ambiguous as to if it is a scam or genuine call

A genuine Sky representative should ask you for your telephone password (to confirm your identity as the account holder). Give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll be a scam caller.

If there's FTTP infrastructure in your area, installation is generally 'free' on placing an order for an Ultrafast broadband product.

The difference with the offers is that they'll typically continue on the current subscription until an existing minimum term ends.
