So, I had my FTTP installed yesterday. Not overly traumatic and both the Openrach crew and Sky technician did a great job however after about 4 hours everything just died. The TV didn't want to connect to wifi and despite multiple resets everything remained dead until this mornng when I took action!
The router log was showing entries for 1970-01-01 and a communications error with nat1.
I did a bit of digging and it appears that the connection to the network resets every hour (3600 seconds) so I simply unplugged everything and left it for 90 minutes and then reconnected everything - hey presto it all came back to life.
I know standard process is a re-boot but that did't have any effect yesterday evening. I just thought I'd share as when I rang Sky yesterday for support, it wasn't that helpful. I was told they'd monitor it for 72 hours and fr me to expect a call!.
Hopefully this may help someone who is tearing their hair out!
