Fed up with Sky
Long story short I took out giga fast in may had it installed by open reach I specifically asked the engineer to install the socket in the hallway as this would ensure the house was covered with WiFi and they refused because it would take them longer to do that, in the install video it clearly stated that I could have it placed wherever I liked
fast forward and the WiFi signal has been awful to the point my phone can't get a single slither of connection and I live in a small 1 bed flat
reached out to sky who passed me around like a doobie at a backpackers hostel and gave me conflicting information and ultimately ruined any chance of me trusting them again, I learned about WiFi max and that it came with boosters after about the 15th phone call about the issue.
so why do I open complaints and hear nothing back? I opted to cancel and switch to BT as I honestly think it's the router causing it as I've had virgin media routers in the same place and have no issue connecting to them?

Re: Fed up with Sky
With any complaint Sky have up to 8 weeks to resolve it before a deadlock letter is issued. It probably won't have helped the process if you have switched providers during this time.

Re: Fed up with Sky
@Md011 Hope it all works out, but you should have looked at moving the Sky Hub once OR were finished the install position off the ONT. The Internal fibre cable run is just too delicate to go far from the CSP Entry point, but a longer Ethernet cable is the way to go. You may have to be prepared to do that with the new EE Router that you will be getting. Back to sky from EE March 2025 after EE FW updated the Smarthub+ Router and turned it into Junk(and it still is). SR203/EE Smarthub+ you would find wi-fi about the same as a compare, never used a Max so cannot say!
