Hi everyone,
I’ve been experiencing persistent Wi-Fi disconnections whenever I use FaceTime on my Sky broadband connection. As soon as I start a call, my Wi-Fi repeatedly disconnects and reconnects, making it impossible to maintain a stable conversation.
Some key points:
Has anyone else encountered this problem on Sky Wi-Fi? Any potential fixes or router settings I should check?
Thanks in advance!
@magnet video calling apps like Facetime are sensitive to slight variations of data delivery so the call wil stall or drop if there is interference affecting the WiFi signal. This is especially common in flats or properties with close.neighbours. Improving the WiFi signal can help as can restarting the hub as it should then find the least congested wifi channel to use but thst's usally a temporary fix. If its only facetime using mobile data may be a workround but if other apps like video streaming and online gaming are affected then improving your home WiFi coukd be a wothwhile investment.
