I have been trying since November to upgrade to FTTP broadband since openreach confirmed it was available. Sky keep telling me that it is 'not available' at my location (in fact the website says sky doesn't offer broadband at my address), however, when I set myself up as a 'new customer' who is moving to the location, it will allow me to purchase FTTP. I have phoned multiple times to no avail including having this "investigated". It's been over two months and sky hasn't updated to match openreach - other providers updated nearly immediately.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you get it resolved? Broadband checker screenshot below to ahow FTTP is available.
Thank you.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@AMD1986 what speed internet are you currently buying from Sky? One possible explanation is if you have a package using GFAST technology which gives speeds over 80Mb/s then Sky are reluctant to allow customers to switch to full fibre while still in contract. The reason being the set-up charge is paid over the full contract. The options are to wait until, the contract ends or pay the cancellation charge and switch providers you may find one sho will makeca contribution to the cancellation charge.

We don't have the gfast internet, currently just get a max speed of 40mb/s

@AMD1986 when FTTP first came to my estate 4 years ago, Sky would not recognise my property... my neighbours could get it, but I could not. I asked and enquired, but got fed up with no solution so in the end I just gave up and went to another provider.
Some months after, I first tried, Sky then recognised my property, but was only offering speeds of 500.
If you are committed to staying with Sky, then you may just have to wait.
However, if you are prepared to leave there are many Openreach providers.
I think I read that Sky is one of the largest broadband providers in the UK with some 6 million customers but I opted to go with a very small company (Aquiss) who only recently passed 10K customers.
Although not the cheapest, I am happy with them as I cannot recall 1 signal outage in 3 years, and because they do not supply a router, I had to purchase and learn about home network mesh systems. It was an expensive initial outlay, but I have fast WiFi over 3 floors in my home.
I am sure I would have saved money if I had gone to Sky, but won't I don't miss is their periodic network failures, which I get to learn about not only here but on our neighbourhood Facebook group.
