Re: FTTP: Voice light goes to orange and the internet stops working.
My Sky Hub Model SR203 has firmware version 7.03.0760.R and I've not had to perform a hard reset since mid-July. So that's just under 2 months without experiencing the voice amber light problem. Previous to this, I've had to restart at least twice a month. I'm not sure if its this firmware which has resloved the issue, but it's looking a lot promising for me.

Re: FTTP: Voice light goes to orange and the internet stops working.
I'm having this same problem, it's happened twice now , I've turned off power but still orange. The first time I reset and the light went very faint then a few hours later it went to green but this morning during the night it went orange again so I powered off for 30 min but still orange so any suggestions on how to fix this ?

Re: FTTP: Voice light goes to orange and the internet stops working.
I've had a call from Sky this morning saying they aren't working on any firmware updates for their routers and there is no problem regarding Amber VOIP that they are investigating.
anyone heard anything else?
My internet hasn't dropped out for a couple of weeks to be fair but this means nothing...

I'm having exact same problem. I have requested the software update. But how will I know if it's been delivered.
Do you contact your customers in any way to follow up?

Re: FTTP: Voice light goes to orange and the internet stops working.
On Monday the electric boards were out moving cables in the street. They now cross out drive 😞 must grumble) but since then (it's Wednesday) our VOCR light is Amber and we can't seem to get WiFi. Even our 4G drops to 3G sometimes. Could this be the cables outside? I have reset the router box but its still the same.

Re: FTTP: Voice light goes to orange and the internet stops working.
Spoke to Sky this morning after struggling with this problem twice this week. Usually we'd have it happen maybe once a month, normally around midnight-1am (I work late shifts from home until 11pm so I'm usually the only one to notice), and it'd right itself overnight. This week, we've had two outages in the day, which is new, so have twice spoken to Sky.
First call was impressively unhelpful - continually reading from the script, refusing to listen, but the internet righted itself within an hour, although I'm convinced Sky's help didn't actually, y'know, help - but the second call, which took place today, was night and day.
The operative had it fixed within 40 minutes, having escalated to the fibre team. They claimed that the fact my router is plugged into a Sky booster with a wired connection can cause authentication issues, and lead to outages. They suggested connecting to the booster via wifi instead. They also said you can unplug for 30 minutes but that's pretty common advice, I just thought I'd share what appears to be new information.
I'm aware it won't help everyone but if it helps one, it's worth it!

Re: FTTP: Voice light goes to orange and the internet stops working.
Hi @KevNewMedia
I have completed the form but have no way of knowing if the router has been updated or not? It certainly hasn't fixed the orange light and no internet issue so I'm assuming it hasn't updated yet. How long after completing the form should I expect to wait for this?

Hi @Dom221
The version of firmware that you are looking for is 7.04.0004.R (you'll find this on 192.168.0.1) and it usually takes a few days to be pushed out. Did you fill in the form? The team will get you to as soon as they can 👍

Re: FTTP: Voice light goes to orange and the internet stops working.
To follow up on a previous post, having been told to connect to the Sky booster via wifi instead of ethernet, we had an outage tonight. I trudged downstairs, and decided to try the advice, so unplugged the ethernet and reset. Router came on with the orange light but after pressing the WPS button on both router and booster, it went green within 30 seconds. Easily the quickest fix I've had for the issue, so something to look into if you're in the same boat.
