Switching off the Sky Router and the ONT box for a couple of minutes seems to cure the problem in most cases.

Only temporarily, then it will do it again .

I have the same problem. It's 10 am and I'm trying to work from home. I've disconnected everything multiple times, turned it off and on again multiple times and tried following the instructions but still nothing. Of course if I click on the Sky checker, it tells me that everything is working!!

The Sky checker is a con. Get different results if you use Speed Test.

Unfortunately this is still happening and how old is this post like 2 year old, absolutely ridiculous really, having to reset the router to sort it is beyond a joke and then it will just do it again, time to switch providers I think as I'm out of contract

For those of you having this issue, do you happen to have another router connected to the sky router as an access point?

NO and fed up with the problem. Have a good deal with EE so will be moving

@TimTim22 I have Sky Q with an additional Sky Q mini which I believe acts as a wifi booster / extender.

@Tim+Tim no just the sky router, reboots itself at least once a day as well, I'm out of contract so will be looking who can offer the same gigafast package for a few quid cheaper hopefully

Yes I have 2 UniFi AP

I understand people want Sky to fix this issue by sorting out their infrastructure or routers they've given us.
However from reading this thread the only way to permently workaround this issue is to spend even more money on a new router. As people in this thread have said if you have a non sky router, such as a Ubiquiti router that @Grantero went for, or an Asus that @1NickAJ went for, then this issue goes away.
Can you two report back if you've had any issues since changing your router?
Also are there any specific routers that those who will bite the bullet and go down this route should go for?
Thanks

@someoneasking I think why people like myself are complaining about it so much is that you shouldn't have to fork out even more money for a 3rd party router when we are already paying an absolute fortune per year for gigafast Internet, Sky make millions I'd imagine each year off TV and broadband services, I feel sorry for the customers that are being affected by it numerous times a day and also that work from home

My connection hasn't dropped for three weeks now which is improvement from the weekly disconnections I was getting.
I have changed my setup slighlty so not sure that has had some effect.
1st I want to ask what firmware people's hubs are on. Mine is 7.03.0760.R I ask because I'm not sure if my hubs been updated.
For my setup I have always used a Access Point which was a Asus RT-N66U router. Recently the power on it kept cycling so I bought a new router to use as an access point. This is a TP link ax3000 aka Archer ax53.
I will monitor and update if connection drops but is looking solid at the moment.
Could the issue be caused by using another router as an access point and some conflict happening the sky hub router and AP router?

@TimTim22 I have the same firmware version 7.03.0760.R and my internet connection hasn't dropped either since 16th July.
I don't have any other Access Points apart from an additional Sky Q mini box which does act as a wifi booster.
I've not made any changes since my last disconnection, so unless Sky has made changes on their end it's looking quite good atm.

@Megahard This is good to know. Obviously time will tell if the connection drops out again.
Can anyone confirm 7.03.0760.R is a recent released firmware. Or what firmware are others on?
