Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@MD3 what happens to the leds on the ONT and hub when the connection is lost?

On the sky hub voice led changes amber. No other lights change. And the ont has no red lights on it. It's like it just stops communicating somewhere. The logs don't show anything else other than what I've put in the original post

From reading other threads it seems to be an issue with Sky's equipment in the exchanges. I know people on FTTP with other ISP's that don't have the same issue. To do with not enough addresses being issued I have heard. Sky need to sort it out as if the router was able to reboot and the connection come back online it wouldn't be so bad, but as it doesn't, it means anything connected at the time loses connection. Not great for security cameras for example.
FTTP should be more stable that FTTC and yet it seems Sky are dropping the ball on this one.
I'll be voting with my feet and changing ISP when my contract is up. I don't want to, but I also want an Internet connection I can rely on!
