FTTP SKY ISP username and password using own router (Linksys MR7350)

Hi,

I want to use my own router, a wifi 6 enabled type.

However, I cant find the settings I need to enter to make it work, plugging it in to the openreach box, and doing away with the Sky router.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Al.

Specifying the make and model of the router, and the nature of the 'openreach box' (master socket, modem or ONT) helps.

Hi Tim,

The router is a Linksys MR7350, as in the subject title, the openreach box is an ONT.

Thanks,

Al.

For the WAN connection you need Automatic confgiuration using DHCP but you need to be able to specifiy DHCP option 61, does this router allow you to do that? I've read things indicating it might not be possible. Take a look and see.

Other posts in this forum suggest Linksys routers aren't compatible with Sky broadband.
