Hi,
I am on Sky Superfast 1(FTTC) and recently tried replacing my Sky Hub with a TP-Link AC2100 (Archer VR2100). I followed the correct setup procedure, including:
1. Connecting the DSL cable to the router's DSL port and the master socket via a micro-filter.
2. Setting the connection type to Sky(MER)_VDSL and entering the generic credentials:
- Username: abcdefgh@skydsl
- Password: 1234567890abcdef
3. Enabling VLAN ID 101 for Sky's FTTC requirements.
Despite this, the router fails to establish a connection, and the DSL light does not stabilize. I've double-checked the settings and the hardware connections, but I’m still unable to get online.
I would appreciate any advice or steps to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Alev

Just to check: is that 'Superfast' or 'Ultrafast 1' (which would be G.fast rather than FTTC)?
I'm not aware of a product designated 'Superfast 1'.

150Mbs would be Ultrafast 1, which means you need a router with a G.fast modem.
An AC2100 is VDSL/ADSL so isn't going to work.

Unfortunately your AC2100 simply cannot function: it uses an inappropriate signalling type. You'd either need the model @cookiemonsteruk mentioned (make sure it has the DSL prefix), or a separate G.fast modem such as the DrayTek Vigor 166
