My old Plusnet YouView box hard drive died recently. I've been with Sky broadband for a couple of years now and the Plusnet box worked perfectly fine. Could access all the All Demand stuff, iplayer, catch up etc via the broadband connection. Today I connected an ex TalkTalk YouView box but it won't connect the broadband to my Sky Router. I've tried all the usual stuff, reset, retune but no connection. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

What model TalkTalk box & how are you trying to connect?
Some of the older Youview boxes are no longer supported & internet access disabled. eg:

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@kwells77 according to what little information I can see the box should connect and give at least some services. If the box has connected to the WiFi, ie in its network menus there is an IP,address, and it wont connect to services like iPlayer it sounds like a dud unit.

Yeah, it's a Humax T1000. Everything is working except the internet connection. Guess I should have done my homework first 😂 Thanks for your help.

FLC managed to find the answer. It's a Humax T1000 which isn't supported internet wise anymore. Everything else is working, the guide, recording, playback, I just can't access the On Demand stuff via the internet. I didn't do my research before I bought it 😂 Thanks for replying.

You're better off with a Firestick or Roku device for on demand if your TV doesn't support it. Even the latest BT Pro Box has limitations & older ones can really struggle.
