Ethernet No Connection, Wifi is connected

I joined Sky 30 days ago. I have Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1. I have fibre to the cabinet, not to the premises. I have an SR204 Hub. I have a brand new, 0.5m CAT 8 ethernet cable. All 4 lights on the front of the hub are green. The lights at both ends of the ethernet connection are green. The Wifi works perfectly - Connected, secured. The Ethernet does not - Not Connected. I have not changed any settings.

@Aaren cat 8 is somewhst overkill given cat5e is rated to 1Gb/s up to 100m.

Check that the device you are connecting has the ethernet port properly enabled.  While it is possible your Sky hub has a dodgy port given the transmission lghts are showing it sounds like an IP address issue on the device. Ideally set the devicecto get the network settings automatically or if using a manual address it is in the range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.253 and you have reserved that address on the hub. Gateway address is 192.168.0.1 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
