Err_address_unreachable laptop issue
My work laptop (Lenovo) refuses to connect to Sky Broadband and I've tried everything - new router, flushing DNS cache, different browsers, etc - but nothing works long term. I get the err_address_unreachable message for any site I try to access. If I run the troubleshooting it says WiFi doesn't have a valid ip configuration.
This went on for some time so I got a new laptop - a newer model Lenovo. It worked a few times but now has the same problem.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

@Bravemart27 Does the laptop have an Ethernet port, and what SKY router plus service do you have?

I have Sky Broadband Superfast with a Sky broadband hub (vertical version).

The laptop has an Ethernet port. It works if connected via Ethernet but this isn't practical.

@Bravemart27 Thanks for the reply, was only trying to make sure that the network was working with the Ethernet connection.
Having the service you say, and looks like you have the SR203 Black Sky router, and is everything else working OK wireless connected like mobile phone etc, and it is only the Laptop with the Wireless connected to the router?
Just got to try and rule out the what if's as the best place to start.

@Bravemart27 assuming the laptop can connect to the WiFi then the issue is likely be with the laptop not having a usable internal IP4 address so no data can pass. This can happen with work laptops if your IT support have set not set up the lsptop to use the range of addresses Sky use. Either the laptop must be set to get the address settings automatically from the hub or set to use a fixed IP address in the range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 with the gateway address of 192.168.0.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 using a fixed IP address requires changes to the hub to reserve that address.
You can check the IP address the laptop using windows 12 is using by follow the instructions here https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/essential-network-settings-and-tasks-in-windows-f21a9bbc...
Honestly this is an issue your employer's IT support should handle for you simply explain you use Sky Broadband for home working and ask them to set up the laptop accordingly.

Thanks for the replies and sorry for the delay. I shared your suggestions with my IT team and they recommended I flush my DNS and the processes listed here - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-perform-a-dns-flush-ip-releaserenew/5a0.... The first one worked, the others did not. I can now use Outlook/Teams and work websites (sharepoint, etc) but browsers and regular websites (BBC, Google, etc) won't work.
I'd be grateful for any other ideas.

@Bravemart27 It is another one for your IT team as they may have hindered you from fiddling, have them remote access your laptop and set the internal nic that you have to use another DNS server if you suspect that is the issue. No point in us telling you what to do and have your work IT stomp all over you. They will know what to do...
