Hi all. I've recently had some networking cable ran around the house, and in order for the work to take place I had to power down everything and move it. Beforehand, I had Plex remote access working no problem with a port forwaridng rule on the Sky router, but since putting everything back in place (exactly as it was before), remote access isn't working. This is how everything is set up:
Sky router is connected to an Eero mesh wifi and the Eero is connected to a switch. Synology NAS is connected to the switch (which hosts Plex). Synology NAS has a static IP, put will only let me select an IP with 192.168.4.xxx, whereas my Sky router is on 192.168.0.xxx.
I think I might be in a double NAT situation but I don't know how to resolve, looking in the eero app I can see devices register with IP's starting 192.168.0, 192.168.4, and even 192.168.11..
Does anyone have any insights into what I might be doing wrong here?

Find out more@Timberflake check how you hsve set up the eero as it can run in Access Point mode where router duties are left with the Sky hub or in Router mode which would cause a double NAT set up. In touter mode the eero's DHCP server will issue local network addresses in the 192.168.4.1 to 254 range. It should be possible to forward ports in thst set up but you will need two rules one on the Sky hub forwarding the port to the eero and a second one on the eero. Your previous set up sounds like the eero was in access point mode.

So I put the eero into Bridge mode and that has solved my problem with remote plex access, but it's created several other problems:
This is driving me nuts, I've been trying to resolve it for over a week!

Find out more@Timberflake set your eero to get its IP address from the Sky hub which issues addresses from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 and can only communicate with devices using that range. How is your Philips Hue networked? You are best asking the questions about Plex on a plex forum but if your IP addressing is messed up that could well be the reason.
