Do I need to plug the SE210 booster back in?
Friend of mine moved over to Trooli but has always had issues with Sky-Q mini boxes connecting so had a Sky SE210 booster which seemed to work OK.
They've always had issues with general wifi around the house even before Trooli when it got worse (their router isn't amazing) so I installed 3 x Nest Wifi Pros around the ground floor of his house and unplugged the SE210. This has resolved the issue of all their other devices having unreliable connectivity.
The main Sky-Q box is hardwired back to the Nest but the mini boxes are currently wireless (this may change in the future). The mini boxes did originally connect but aren't reliable.
So, the question - would plugging in the SE210 do the job? I'm assuming it extends the Sky wireless connectivity but not sure.
It would better if the mini boxes just connected to the main wifi as that coverage is great but I don't think they do - I can't see an option in the setup to do that.
If they end up hardiring the mini boxes, will they just connect automatically?
Thanks!

Re: Do I need to plug the SE210 booster back in?
@PaulSD first question if you have Sky WiFi what colour hub do you have? Briefly if you have a black Sky hub it is compatable with the `Sky Q boxes and the SE210 booster which act as wifi hotspots. Any other router including the white Sky hub are not compatable so while you can connect any of them by ethernet only the main Q box can connect to the router by WiFi. All other Q boxes and boosters have to be connected to a closed 5GHz signal the main Q box produces.

Re: Do I need to plug the SE210 booster back in?
Thanks @Chrisee!
No Sky wifi involved here (aside from the Q boxes). Everything is running via Nest Wifi Pro over Trooli FTTP.
Main Q box is hardwired back to the main Nest box which is running in router mode using PPPoE so the Trooli router is also removed.
I suppose the question is, how do I connect the SE210 so that it does it's job? Should it be just a case of powering back on again?
Previously, it was connected to power - not sure if there was any config on it to make it work.

Re: Do I need to plug the SE210 booster back in?
@PaulSD the only use for the SE210 is to link it to the main Q box by wps if one or more of the Q Minis is not getting sufficent signal directly. Otherwise it may make a marginally useful door stop. Do not use it unless required as adding further wifi dources increases the risk of interference.
You can hard wire your Q boxes to the Nest satellites if you want but if you do disable their WiFi from the engineer's menu navigatecto the bix's settings but enter 0,0,1 before select.

Re: Do I need to plug the SE210 booster back in?
Good tips there - thanks!
I'll try Connecting the SE210 via WPS to the main q box as a first step.
Alternative (and probably preferable) is of course as you say to hardwire the Mini boxes to the Nest wifi modules - hadn't thought of that but could well be a better solution.
Thanks for your help!
