I have just bought a new car that is regularly sent updates from the manufacturer. It is an electric car and I also have a charger on the garage wall. The charger talks to my app using WiFi with no issues but the car,that is parked a yard further away from my router than the charger, sees the router but with only a single bar on the WiFi fan. The car tells me that it is a very weak signal. It suggests that I change the channel on the router to either 6 or 11. I do not know how to do this and am concerned that it may affect other devices connected to the WiFi. I have tried 2 different signal boosters that don't seem to work and I have a white signal booster which was fitted by Sky on installation of the broadband. The Sky booster is 10 ft from the charger but the other side of a brick wall.
