To recap:
Sky Broadband hub refuses remote connections to the web ui by default.
You can add a firewall rule on top of it to make absolutely sure.

This blocks connection attempts to port 80 on your local area network's router usually (192.168.0.1) from external networks requesting resources from your network over both IPv6 and IPv4. If you, a local network user, are making requests to your own public ip address, it will bypass the firewall and remote management firewall sky provides by default.

Sky gave it to us in replace of our old router that didnt support fibre, because we converted to fibre.

That's the Sky Broadband Hub: it's the successor to the Q Hub.

Re: Disabling remote management on a Sky Q Broadband Hub
@JoesMARAGI Remote management is/was suppossed to be turned off / excluded for remote operation and admin for all the sky Hub's and yes there was a switch to allow such, no longer got my SR203 sky Broadband hub connected, as you have yours up go have a look and see where it is, will be in the advanced options somewhere. Are you saying you can get to it via the wan IP address?

Re: Disabling remote management on a Sky Q Broadband Hub
Remote access should be disabled by default in the factory settings. Are you actually accessing the Hub externally, or using the public IP from within the local network?

Re: Disabling remote management on a Sky Q Broadband Hub
@JoesMARAGI Yes you should. And that would also be best served via another network completely seperate! And to the wan IP of the sky Hub! If you need will go unbox and fire up the old hub, but not going to put it online for wan connection!
If it's anywhere would think possibly support tab from memory!

Yes: doing so within the network isn't a test.

Re: Disabling remote management on a Sky Q Broadband Hub
@JoesMARAGI Honestly do not think you are going to get to it as refused connection would be the norm, on a local lan yes chance it will port through as a secure network connection!

That's correct behaviour: not even an acknowledgement that the IP address has something behind it.
