If you are getting a fttp installation it does not always follow the same route as the old copper wire due to limitations on the material
openreach may visit your property in advance of the installation date for a visual inspection of the work needed for the fttp and if needed will contact you to discuss the work needed and timescales and then get your permission to carry it out

Further to @mormegil if you are getting full fibre you can enter your full address below and post the table and the notes below it after removing you address from the image it will give us a better idea how the install will go ahead

It says overhead feed with line of sight problems trees. Was the extension built before or after fttp became available.
Openreach should have contingencies anyway. But the fact that at the end of wbc fttp it says 1 stage install which is the easiest even with line of sight issues they hopefully will be able to drop the cable down somewhere more accessible hopefully

The photo has been moderated. Where does the existing telephone line come down. Do you have a photo as well of the alleged trees

Re the extension there would appear enough brickwork to follow the existing telephone and drop it down elsewhere. Just because the copper line comes into the property in one place does not necessarily mean the fibre optic will go in exactly the same way .
What i am wondering however is whether the fibre optic can be threaded thru the branches without a cherry picker which would be the more important factor. It could be the difference between getting it installed next week or later on
