Devices won’t connect to 5ghz

Sky hub 6 and WiFi max

all my devices connect to 2.4ghz which is causing a lot of slow speed and interference.   I have 500 fibre but the max WiFi speed I get is 100mbps at anytime of the day

the router admin page says 5ghz is active

Any ideas how to get some devices to connect to 5ghz?

cheers

@Omnimurkd1 Are any off you devices wi-fi 6 also, you may wish to try dropping the wireless down to WPS2-PSK if it is an option that you can set and see if any better, the device makes the decision on what to connect to and can be for many reason's apart from the equipment you have from Sky.

Wifi max routers are defauly to 5ghz, how do you know they are only connecting as 2.4ghz ?

What devices are you using, have you tried changing the wireless channels, as neighbours can interfere if on same or similar channel number.
