Devices not connecting to sky pod

I recently changed from BT to Sky broadband. We were promised a fast rate of 900 but so far our experience has been terrible. Wishing I'd stayed with BT.

sky sent out a pod but our devices are not connecting to it. Is there a way to force this?

@Kwatt1111 there is no way to force devices to connect to the pod or the hub but the system should sort itself out in time. Makecsurectge pod is fited no more than halfway between the hub and where you need the boost. If your system still isnt delivering at leastv25Mb/s in everyroom Sky shouldcarrange for an engineer to come out to see why .

I doubt anyone ever promised speeds of 900Mb/s over WiFi in every room in your home as that is the speed to your hub and if you actually require that speed on a device it is best accessed over a gigabit ethernet link. In practice the maximum speed apps can use is below 100Mb/s. Downloads can sometimes run faster than 500Mb/s but that depends on the bandwidth the server owner allows. The only app that does use the full bandwidth are speed tests. The Sky Max hub will deliver 900Mb/s in the area near the hub but speeds drop the further you are from the hub as signal strength drops especially if your home has solid walls. The pods top,out at 600Mb/s but thst speed depends on the pod having a faster signal from the hub.
