I have decided to upgrade my sky broadband to new gigafast, however when the order went through the tracking details said that the sky q hub was delivered already. Does this mean my sky q hub is going to be the one used on fibre with the new setup?
my existing sky q hub is around 5 years old.

@Microwaveboss the various hubs are pictured here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start only the black Sky Broadband Hub (Hub4.2 SR203) and the white Sky Max Hub (Hub6 SR213) are used for full fibre connections. The older types will not meet new regulations duectombe introducedcsoon so are being phased out.

Re: Delivery date confusion sky q hub
@Microwaveboss the old flat black Sky Q hub is not compatable but the newer upright black Broadband Hub is compatable with full fibre but is limited to WiFi5 speeds that top out at around 700Mb.s byt has 3 gigabit ethernet ports. New customers get the white Sky Max hub which supports WiFi6 so can offer 900Mb/s overcWiFi. Existing cuustomers getvthat hub if tgey buy the WiFi Max add-on see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max
In practice however thecdifferencecis minimal as apps cannot use much more than 100Mb/s unless downloading and few severs support 500Mb/s let alone 900Mb/s. Both hubs speeds drop in rooms with a couple of walls between them and the hub.

Re: Delivery date confusion sky q hub
Thank you for your support.
I have the flat sky q hub connected at the moment. I have searched through the old hardware and I have two other hubs that pre date the q hub
but the newest of these is 10 years old. Is the black hub what you are talking about?

Re: Delivery date confusion sky q hub
The latest black hub is the SR203 which iirc started life in 2019. The other current hub is the white Sky Max hub.
