Delayed Broadband order for over a week.

its been over 2 weeks  after sky initially said they would complete. No broadband activation, sky hub hasn't arrived and it very annoying!

What did they say was causing the hold up when you called them about it ?

They mentioned about high demand on specialist external engineer. What I am confused about is that there is already fibre cables in my area

That's not the same thing as having an functioning ONT at the address though: getting fibre from the nearest CBT to an individual property is often the trickiest part of the FTTP rollout.
