Default password on router doesn’t work?

Just joined sky and had the broadband set up this week. The router is plugged in and lit up as it should be. The issue I have is when I try to connect a device wirelessly the password on the router does not work with the network name! I've reset the router and had no effect. I can't log on directly to the router when I attach a laptop using the WPS button as the default password for the admin log in doesn't work either! Any ideas how to get on and find out what the correct password is?

1. Press and hold Reset for at least ten seconds on your hub.
2. Wait a few minutes for your hub to start up again, then your network name and its password will be reset to the ones on the back or bottom of your hub

I have the password off of the router but it doesn't work

@Millwal4 it will if the router is reset as @TechmanagerMal explains but hold the reset button in until the power light flashes or the hub just restarts without the reset.

I've done that as per the instructions and the password still doesn't work either wirelessly or as an admin password

I spoke to sky today and they have confirmed there is a mismatch between the router setup and the sticker with the password on so are going to send out a new router. Thanks for the help in trying to solve though
