So after a few weeks of the issue not reappearing, it seems my problem is resolved.

 

1. Changing the cable from the ONT to the router from the supplied cat5e cable to a higher quality Cat6 branded cable (not really sure what the change meant there on such a short run but a good shout by a fellow member)

 

2. "Hard reset" and power off of both the ONT and router for 10 minutes, then ONT back on followed by router (twice in two days). Did do this previously but no effect.

 

I guess the combo of both steps has resolved the issue or by coincidence Sky sorted out their DHCP service on their end 🤷‍♂️
